Vegies

Planted most of the vegies yesterday and finishing today. It is getting hotter by the day but mornings are still nice til about noon or 1 p.m. Took some new photos of the pups for Cindy T. in Tucson. Watered the lawn and the new seed is finally taking hold. DH made and put up some For Sale signs yesterday. We want to sell some of the property to make more improvements to the house and some fencing for the "back 40."

Wine Festival

We went to the wine festival yesterday and met some nice folks. Also new neighbors.

Fencing

Hank took down the old fencing today and put up new posts. Now we can get in with the tractor to clean up the sheep pen.

Worming

Today we wormed the puppies. They really didn't like the taste. It is quite warm but not blowing dust which is nice. Should be 91 in Tucson later this afternoon. Desi is still very thin so we fed her more chicken and kibble at noon. She is such a good girl and loves her babies and people.

Windy Sunday

Today we woke up at 6 a.m. and had a good night's sleep with the pups and Desi in the greenhouse. They did well and enjoyed their breakfast. We then left for shopping in Safford at Walmart for groceries and soil. We ended up getting all but the soil. Hank's not ready to plant yet anyway. It is blowing dust and not nice so we'll stay indoors and do house stuff this afternoon. I even baked a cake. Everyone is doing well and happy.

May Day Photo

Today we bought straw and put the puppies in the greenhouse. They will stay there with mom. The greenhouse is about 12 x 12 with 2 doors. One door leads to the outside area which is 12 x 12 also. They have a dog house and water inside also. Hank is still working on the raised bed. He smashed his finger and quit about 3 p.m. Always exciting on the farm.

Feeding Puppies

Since the pups don't take to the bottle, I decided to make them some mush. I don't usually do it before 3 weeks old but decided to give it a try. There was a huge mess but some did take to it and got some kibble mixed with goat milk and water inside. Will give it a try again this afternoon. It is blowing like crazy today. Hank worked on the raised bed this a.m. He'll be glad when it is done. Let Sam out of his pen to enjoy some freedom.
